1. Service Overview

SOUL / ALLOY (hereinafter 'the Service') is a personality diagnosis service combining metal properties with psychological frameworks. The Service is provided for educational and entertainment purposes.

2. Usage Conditions

• •Basic features are available for free without registration. By registering an account (Google authentication), you can access additional features such as cloud storage of diagnosis results.
• •Diagnosis results are stored in your browser's local storage. If you register an account, they can also be saved on servers.
• •The Service is intended for users aged 13 and over. Users under 13 should use the Service with parental consent.

3. Prohibited Actions

The following actions are prohibited:

• •Actions that interfere with the operation of the Service
• •Actions that explore or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service
• •Unauthorized access or actions that place excessive load
• •Unauthorized commercial use of Service content
• •Collecting or copying content using automated tools such as bots, crawlers, or scrapers
• •Using Service content as training data for AI or machine learning models

4. Disclaimer

• •The diagnosis results provided by the Service are for entertainment purposes and are not intended as medical or psychological diagnoses.
• •Do not use diagnosis results for important decisions such as personnel evaluations or medical judgments.
• •Diagnosis results are a fun representation of one aspect of the user's personality and do not deny, limit, or evaluate the user's character, value, or abilities. The developer assumes no responsibility for any emotional distress or discomfort arising from diagnosis results.
• •If you have concerns about your mental health, please stop using the Service and consult a professional healthcare provider or counseling service.
• •The developer assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from use of the Service.
• •The Service may be suspended, changed, or terminated without notice.

5. Layered Content and Paid Features

The Service provides detailed persona information in the following 3-layer structure:

• •Layer 1 (Personality Analysis): Personality diagnosis results for general public and high school students. Provided free to all users.
• •Layer 2 (Diagnosis Logic Explanation): Explanations of property → personality score calculation logic for science high school students to working engineers. Includes both free and paid scope, with conditions shown on each page.
• •Layer 3 (Physical Properties Origins): Electronic structure and first-principles calculation data for graduate students and experts. Includes both free and paid scope, with conditions shown on each page.

6. Paid Features, Payments & Refunds

• •For paid content, required disclosures including price, payment method, delivery timing, cancellation, refund terms, and contact are published on `/pricing`, `/tokushoho`, `/refund`, and `/subscription-cancel`.
• •If pricing or specifications change, we will provide advance notice whenever possible (target: 30 days) and minimize impact on existing users.
• •Payment information may be processed by external purchase or payment providers. Sensitive payment details such as full card numbers are not stored on our servers.
• •About donations: Donations are voluntary support and do not come with specific rewards or benefits.
• •Refund policy: Paid content and donations are generally non-refundable. However, we will handle individually in these cases: duplicate payments, inability to receive service due to technical issues, or other unavoidable circumstances.
• •Subscription: 【準備中 / In preparation】 Monthly plans are not currently offered. When launched, cancellation methods, service period, and termination terms will be published on the Pricing page and related policy pages.
• •Credit validity: Purchased credits are valid for 180 days from the date of purchase. Credits that pass their expiration date are automatically forfeited and are not eligible for refund. Credits closest to expiration are consumed first.
• •Free credits: Registered users receive 10 free credits per month. Free credits reset each month and do not carry over to the next month.

7. Intellectual Property

Copyrights, trademarks, characters, images, audio, copy, diagnosis results, downloadable materials, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the developer or legitimate rights holders. SOUL/ALLOY original content is all rights reserved unless separately permitted in writing.

Third-party open data, psychological scales, libraries, and API services remain subject to their respective licenses or terms. Corporate use, API integration, redistribution, and merchandising require a separate paid agreement.

8. Copyright Infringement Reports (DMCA)

If you discover copyright infringement, please contact us with the following information:

• •Identification of the copyrighted work being infringed
• •Location of the infringing content (URL, etc.)
• •Contact information and proof that you are the copyright holder

We also respond to claims based on the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan, and disputes regarding the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

10. Data Sources and References

1. Information Collected

The Service handles the following information:

• •Diagnosis Response Data: Responses entered by users during diagnosis are saved only in the browser's local storage. They are not sent to servers.
• •Diagnosis Results: Diagnosis results are also stored in local storage and are not sent to servers.
• •Access Logs: For normal server operation, basic access logs such as IP address, access date/time, and page URL may be recorded.
• •HelpBot Question Data: We collect questions, answers, and feedback (whether resolved) from HelpBot (Sody) interactions. This data is collected anonymously and does not include personally identifiable information.

2. Purpose of Information Use

• •Provision of diagnosis services
• •Service improvement and statistical analysis (anonymized data only)
• •Prevention of unauthorized use and security assurance
• •HelpBot (FAQ) Improvement: Collected question data is used to enhance FAQ content and improve answer quality

3. Use of Third-Party Services

The Service may use the following third-party services. These services handle information according to their own privacy policies:

• •Supabase (authentication and database service)
• •Vercel (hosting service)
• •Google Analytics (access analysis service): Used for traffic analysis to improve services
• •External purchase/payment providers: May be used for paid feature or support purchase processing
• •ElevenLabs (text-to-speech service): Used for character voice generation
• •O*NET OnLine (Occupational Information Network): Used for referencing RIASEC career aptitude data

4. Use of Cookies

The Service uses cookies and local storage to improve user experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may be limited.

5. Data Security

The Service implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of user data. However, due to the nature of internet communications, complete security cannot be guaranteed.

6. User Rights

As a required baseline, users can review and delete stored data. The current scope is as follows:

• •You can delete all diagnosis data by clearing your browser's local storage
• •Account data deletion requests are accepted. Recommended enhancements (such as data export UI) are being introduced in phases.

7. Use of AI Services

This Service uses the following AI and machine learning services to create and provide content:

Content generated by these AI services is subject to each service's terms of use.

8. Google Account Integration

This Service provides Google account login functionality:

• •Information obtained from Google: email address, display name, profile picture
• •Obtained information is used only for account identification, display name, and history management
• •Login information is securely managed through Supabase authentication service

9. Legal Basis (GDPR Article 6)

The legal basis for processing personal data in this Service is as follows:

• •Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Data collection during Google account integration is based on explicit user consent.
• •Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Data processing necessary for providing the diagnosis service is based on service agreement performance.
• •Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Access log collection for service improvement and security is based on the operator's legitimate interest.

10. International Data Transfers

This Service uses the following third-party services, and some data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA:

• •Supabase (AWS US Region): Authentication and database
• •Vercel (Global Edge Network): Hosting
• •Google Cloud: OAuth authentication
• •External purchase/payment providers: Payment or purchase processing
• •ElevenLabs (United States): Text-to-speech service

These transfers are conducted based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or equivalent protective measures.

11. Data Retention Period

Personal data retention periods are as follows:

• •Diagnosis Data (Local Storage): Until user clears browser data
• •Account Data: Completely deleted within 30 days of deletion request
• •Access Logs: Stored for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• •Google Analytics: 14 months (non-identifying aggregated data only)

12. Right to Lodge a Complaint

EU/EEA residents have the following rights regarding personal data processing:

• •You have the right to lodge a complaint with your country's data protection supervisory authority.
• •For Japan residents, you may consult the Personal Information Protection Commission (https://www.ppc.go.jp/).
• •Before filing a complaint, please contact us first and we will endeavor to resolve the issue.

13. Withdrawal of Consent

You can withdraw your consent to personal data processing at any time:

• •Revoke Google Account Integration: You can revoke access to this Service from Google Account settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
• •Account Deletion: Select 'Delete Account' from My Page or request via Discord.
• •Local Data Deletion: You can delete local storage from your browser settings.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

14. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

This Service performs automated decision-making and profiling as follows:

• •Personality Diagnosis: Personas are matched algorithmically based on user responses. This is for entertainment purposes and is not used for decisions with legal or economic effects.
• •No automated decisions with legal effects are made.
• •You have the right to object to profiling.

15. Children's Data Protection

This Service is not intended for children under 13:

• •Use of this Service is limited to persons aged 13 and over.
• •Parental consent is recommended for account registration by users aged 13-16.
• •We do not intentionally collect data from children under 13.
• •If we discover that data from a child under 13 has been collected, it will be promptly deleted. Please report via Discord if you discover such data.

16. Payment Services

For paid features and support purchases, we may use external purchase or payment providers.

• •Only the minimum information required for payment or purchase processing, such as amount, timestamp, and transaction metadata, is shared.
• •We do not receive or store full card details. Sensitive payment information is processed by the external provider.
• •Your payment data may be processed in the regions where the external provider operates.
• •We do not receive or store full card numbers. We only receive limited payment status data required for support handling.
